It was a convergence of Imo Political stakeholders over the weekend when PDP stalwarts from the 27 LGA’s in Imo state stormed the National Liason Office of President Goodluck Jonathan to deliberate on strategies that will ensure that Mr President declares for presidency come 2015.
The assembly held at the South East, South South National Liason Office along Egbu road, Imo state had over 2500 PDP members in attendance with deliberation on plans to ensure that President Goodluck declare urgently and strategies to ensure that when he declares Imo people will give him 100% support in the coming election, as well as ensure PDP get back to Douglas House Owerri come 2015.
Addressing journalist after the meeting Chief Perry Opara’s head of Media and Public Affairs to the presidency and political liason officer Imo state noted that President Jonathan has done more than enough to deserve a second term especially in Imo state. He listed the achievement of Mr. President in various sectors of the economy such as Agriculture, Power, Education, Transportation among others.
He stressed that his office will partner with youths, women, artisans among other reiterating that his office was commissioned to ensure they sensitize people, carry them forward and thank them as well as orient them on strategies. He assured that credible candidates will emerge in state as no Igbo will contest in Imo the coming election.
Prince Charles Amadi, in his address stated that they have come to express their support, plan strategies as well as make sure that Mr President Goodluck declares as soon as possible. He stressed that President Jonathan has strengthened the power sector which is a major factor that drives the economy and development of every nation.
